WEEKEND RECAP
It was a week of mixed emotions for the Manchester Storm, as they battled hard but only came away with a split 1-1-1 record.
On Wednesday, Ryan Hughes and Dallas Ehrhardt found the back of the net, but despite their efforts, the Storm were undone by two late empty-net goals. The Dundee Stars escaped the Shelter with a 5-2 win, leaving Manchester frustrated but determined.
Saturday, however, was a different story. The Storm put on a show, downing the Glasgow Clan 4-3 in a nail-biting contest. Alexis D’Aoust was the star of the show, netting two goals, including the all-important game winner. It was a vital win, and Manchester showed they still had plenty of fight in them.

Sunday’s clash with Dundee saw the Storm push back hard after falling behind 3-2. Goals from Jake Durflinger and Ryan Hughes had put Manchester ahead early in the second, but Dundee came back to take the lead. Alexis D’Aoust’s quick strike early in the third tied the game, and with David Tendeck making 34 saves, it was all to play for in overtime. Unfortunately, after a goalless extra period, the game went to a shootout. Despite a valiant effort, the Stars took the extra point, leaving Manchester to reflect on what could have been.
