Weekend Preview – “Back to winning ways!”
This Saturday the 26th, your Go Goodwins sponsored Manchester Storm look to extinguish southern side, the Coventry Blaze, before heading over the Pennines to do battle with rivals, the Sheffield Steelers.
On Saturday we welcome the Coventry Blaze to the Storm Shelter in Elite Ice Hockey League action. The Blaze are currently in struggling form this season, having won only one of their games this season & pre-season so far. The Storm however will be looking to get back to winning ways at the Shelter, and forget last few weeks of defeats. Face-off is 6:30pm, with doors open from 5:30pm, and for the whole of September, Kids under 12 get in FREE with a paying adult! Post game, there is also free ice skating (and free skate hire) for all fans with a valid match ticket until 10pm.
Sunday sees the Storm heading over the hills to the Motorpoint Arena Sheffield for the first time in 13 years as the Storm take on Sheffield Steelers in Elite Ice Hockey League action. The Steelers, are currently riding high in the Elite League, thanks to a preseason consisting of numerous challenge games against EIHL teams, along with a venture into Europe, thanks to the Champions Hockey League. If you’re not one of the lucky fans heading over to Sheffield to cheer the Storm on in person, fear not, as there is live stream of the game, thanks to SteelersTV.
