Your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm are delighted to announce the return of ‘The Voice of the Puck’, Jon Hammond, for the 2017/2018 season!

Jon was the original game announcer when Manchester Storm were formed in 1995 and took up the microphone again when the Storm returned in August 2015, much to the delight of the fan base!

Jon is delighted to be returning for another season:

“When I was asked back in 2015 to be part of the ‘new’ Manchester Storm, I must admit to having one or two sleepless nights, but with the passion and focus of General Manager Neil Russell & the Ownership Group, the energy and commitment of the Storm fans, the last two seasons have turned out to be great fun, and I’ve gone on record a few times by saying this second time round with the Storm has been even more enjoyable than the first time. I like to think that the level of interaction on match night with our fans is second to none, and I simply cannot wait to get back to the Storm Shelter for the new season at the Manchesttterrr Stooorrrrmmm”!!

Storm GM, Neil Russell, was delighted to see Jon return for another season at the Storm Shelter:

“Jon has played a pivotal role in our business these past two years here at the Storm and has been instrumental in helping us grow our fan base in that time. Jon is a true professional at what he does & i am simply delighted he is back with us for another season at the Storm Shelter. Fans will have heard me mention many times over the past two years about the importance of the “fan experience”, and in Jon we have someone who ensures we cover those bases when it comes to our match night. He is loved by home and away fans alike, and ensures that everyone who enters the Storm Shelter leaves at the end of the night having enjoyed the whole experience. 

It’s not just what Jon provides on match night for us that is great, but he has also forged strong friendships with the players over the last couple of years and has been a great mentor to many of them throughout that time. He is the heartbeat of our match night here at the Storm, and I know Jon is super excited to get hold of the mic and get the Storm Shelter rocking again for what promises to be a superb season here at the Mannncccchessstterrr Stooorrrmmmm”!!!
