STORM WELCOME TYLER ROCKWELL TO THE SHELTER!

Manchester Storm are delighted to announce the addition of speedy blueliner Tyler Rockwell, most recently of Marseille (Ligue Magnus).

The California native joins with plenty of professional hockey experience and will bolster the Storm ranks at a timely moment with the typically hectic Christmas schedule looming.

The 28-year-old made 108 NCAA appearances for Michigan Technological University between 2017 and 2021, competing against several contemporary NHL stars in the process.

Following this, Rockwell signed with the Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL, where his consistent, defence-first mentality drew admiration across the hockey community. This two-year stint in the East Coast Hockey League saw the defenceman share the dressing room with former Storm player Raymond Brice, as well as many former EIHL skaters.

The summer of 2023 saw Rockwell take his first steps into the European ranks, signing with Marseille, a team debuting in the French top league. This increased role and opportunity for the blueliner allowed him to realise his potential for more attacking output, as Rockwell posted an impressive 23 points (3G, 20A) in 44 appearances.
