10 REASONS TO CHECK OUT THE STORM
There’s many reasons you should join us inside the ‘Storm Shelter‘ this month for our pre-season fixtures against Guildford Flames and Coventry Blaze but we’ve got 10 just to get the juices flowing ahead of the big return!
NEW SEASON CAPTAINS ANNOUNCED!
Head Coach Matt Ginn officially informed the 23-24 season squad of the captains group for the year ahead. Forward and natural leader Cam Critchlow takes the ‘C’ for the second year running – a well deserved accolade following a successful 22-23 season. The clubs assistant captains consist of forwards Stephen Johnson and Michael Korol alongside defenceman Chase Harrison. The ‘A’s’ will help Captain Critchlow lead the squad through what promises to be a thrilling season ahead!
THE TEAM
You will spot some familiar faces on this season’s roster, including some new alternate Captains. With Cameron Critchlow returning as the Captain, your alternate captains consist of forwards Stephen Johnson and Michael Korol, alongside defenceman Chase Harrison.
Former Storm defenceman Declan Balmer will return for some games, after signing a two-way contract with Hull Seahawks. British forward, Bobby Chamberlain also joins on a two-way contract with the Seahawks. Chamberlain helped Storm previously in 2018/19.
The Storm boasts plenty of new players to the team this season, so give them a warm welcome when they step onto the ice.
CONNOR LEE HOME DEBUT
It’s set to be a special night on Saturday evening as home-grown talent Connor Lee makes his home debut inside the ‘Storm Shelter’. At the young age of 16 years old Connor has already made his mark by picking up the Man Of The Match award in the first pre-season fixture away to Coventry Blaze – an incredible accolade in his first outing in a first team jersey. Welcome Connor onto home ice this Saturday in what is set to be a historic moment for the Manchester Storm organisation.
