Last Saturday saw the Storm beat Sheffeld Steelers 5-2 on home ice. It was a thrilling encounter, and a night of firsts, with Raymond Grewal claiming his first pro goal. Watch the highlights here.

On Sunday the boys put up a good fight against Coventry Blaze, but were unable to draw an equaliser when Ginn was pulled in favour for an extra player in the final minute. It was however a night of firsts again, with an excellent first pro goal from young British forward, Finlay Ulrick.

Manchester Storm v Cardiff Devils – Saturday 5th October – Viola Arena  F/O – 19:00

The Storm boys travel down to South Wales this weekend to face the Cardiff Devils.

Following a brilliant campaign last season, Andrew Lord has kept plenty of key players for their 2019/20 season. Over Summer he has recruited some talented new players, and they will be looking to continue their winning streak following a four point weekend against Coventry Blaze and Sheffield Steelers.

This will be the first meeting this season where Layne Ulmer will face his former team.

If any Storm fans can’t make the game, you can get the webcast here

Manchester Storm v Glasgow Clan – Sunday 6th October – Planet Ice Altrincham-  F/O 17:30

New Head Coach Zack Fitzgerald has signed some skilled players over the Summer from outside the league and other EIHL teams – also managing to retain some of the teams core members.

New players include Canadian defenceman, Matt Pufahl, American forward Nolan LaPorte, and Swedish forward Mikael Lidhammar (has previously iced with Dundee Stars). Fitzgerald has also brought in a line of new Brits – including Ruairi Lockerbie, Scott Henderson, Jordan McLaughlin and Liam Stenton.

Number one netminder for the squad this season is Patrick Kileen, who stood out last year, when icing for Milton Keynes Lightning.

This Sunday’s game won’t be one to miss, as Linden Springer makes his return to the Storm Shelter to face his former team. Any new Storm fans this season can read more about the history between the two teams here
