Manchester Storm v Sheffield Steelers – Saturday 28th September – Planet Ice Altrincham (Challenge Cup) –  F/O 19:00

This Saturday the Storm host EIHL rivals, the Sheffield Steelers in a Challenge Cup encounter!

This will be the first time the Storm face the Steelers on home ice this season, and the boys will be looking for a win following narrow defeat in Sheffield two weeks ago.

Please note there WILL be skating available after the game on Saturday. It’s free for anyone with a game ticket and their own skates, and only £2.50 for skate hire! So grab your wheels and join in the post-game skate.

Head Coach, Aaron Fox has brought in plenty of new faces to the EIHL and made a roster change before the end of the first month. The vastly experienced Martin St. Pierre has made way for hard-hitting Swedish forward, Lucas Sandstrom. Despite changes, the roster still holds plenty of experience from NHL, DEL, KHL, AHL and SHL

This Summer, netminder Jackson Whistle was released in favour of two import goalies. Czech imports, Tomas Duba and Pavel Kantor joined the club and will be sharing the net throughout the season. The makeover extends beyond the goal crease to the blueline with jonas Liwing and Aaron Brocklehurst for the standout additions. Nikolai Lemtyugov, Michael Davis and Brendon Connolly have been added to produce points for the big-spending Yorkshire based outfit.

Please note this Challenge Cup fixture is not part of the 2019/20 season ticket. See more on Challenge Cup ticket information here.

Ones to watch: Marc-Olivier Vallerand
