STORM SIGN COYOTES DRAFT PICK DAVID TENDECK
Manchester Storm are delighted to announce the signing of 25-year-old goaltender David Tendeck to bolster the team’s lineup for the remainder of the season.
Tendeck, a 6’1″ netminder, brings a wealth of experience from his time playing across various leagues in North America and will be joining from the Florida Everblades (ECHL) ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.
The goaltender made a strong impression during his time in the major juniors with the Vancouver Giants and was named to the WHL Second All-Star team in 2017-18. His standout play was enough to draw admiration from potential NHL suitors, and the Canadian was drafted 158th overall by the Arizona Coyotes (now Utah IHC) in the summer of 2018.
Tendeck went on to sign a three-year entry-level deal with his NHL club in 2020. However, in typical North American fashion, the young goalie was sent to earn his stripes in the ECHL with the Rapid City Rush. By 2021-22, Tendeck had made his AHL debut with the Tucson Roadrunners, performing admirably over a small sample size.
The following three seasons saw Tendeck move through a number of ECHL outfits, and he now heads to the Elite League with a stat line of .898 SV% and 3.30 GAA. Tendeck is known for his excellent reflexes, positional awareness, and composure under pressure – qualities that will undoubtedly strengthen the Storm’s defensive unit.
Head Coach Mike Morin Said,
“We are delighted to add David to further bolster the team as we continue to push forward for the remainder of the season.”
