Tesco, which was originally founded in 1919 as stall at Well Street Market, Hackney, in the East End of London, is the third largest retailer in the world measured by profits and ninth-largest retailer in the world measured by revenues. As well as being the grocery market leader in the UK, they have stores in a further 12 countries across Asia and Europe.

The deal, which will see the Tesco logo placed on the ice, on the team cars, as well as being located on this seasons jerseys, is a show of intent to the quality of sponsors who are wanting to align their business with one of the Elite Leagues leading brands.
