REPORT: Storm gain revenge in 6 goal thriller!!!

Your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm responded to their 3-2 loss the previous evening with a emphatic over the Milton Keynes Lightning, thanks to a four-goal haul from forward Luke Moffat, to help solidify our 1st place position.
Storm’s Gerard Hanson opened the scoring after five minutes in the first, with a phenomenal assist by Dane Byers, before Moffat bagged his first of the evening, unassisted, in the 16th minute, while MK were unable to get past Mike Clemente in the Storm net.
The second period saw Mike Hammond set Luke “Man of the Match” Moffat up for his second of the game early in the second period, before Dallas Erhardt and Scott Pitt combined to give Matt Beca the opportunity to make it 4-0 to the Storm – Pitt’s assist representing his first point for the Storm since joining the club earlier this week!
Moffat completed his hat-trick 27 seconds, when later Byers collecting his second assist of the night before the two combined once again at the mid-way point of the frame to hand Moffat his fourth goal and Byers his third assist of the night.
Despite opportunities at both ends, neither Storm or Lighting were able to add to the scoreboard in the third period, and Salford MBA student Clemente was able to come away with a 24-save shut-out.
