Breaking News: Welcome to Manchester, Raymond Grewal!
Raymond Grewal is the latest signee to be announced for Manchester Storm, ahead of the 2019/20 season!
The defenceman joins the club straight out of university, where he played four seasons for the University of British Columbia. Grewal will also be the first ever Punjabi player to make his EIHL debut.
Hailing from Prince George, British Columbia, the blueliner started out in the BCMML, icing two seasons for Cariboo Cougars,(2010-2012.) Grewal iced 77 games with the Cougars, totalling 40 points, including 32 assists.
Whilst icing with the Cougars, Grewal also made 10 WHL appearances for Prince George Cougars. By his 2012/2013 season, he stepped up from the major midget league, remaining with Prince George Cougars for the next two seasons.
Grewal’s 2014/15 season was split between BCHL team (Junior A) , Prince George Spruce Kings and WHL team, Prince Albert Raiders. Prior to his move to the Raiders the left-handed defenceman iced 20 games in total for the Spruce Kings, scoring an impressive 16 points, including 12 assists. He then went on to study and play at university.
Grewal is a core player, who will bring points and be a great playmaker. Watch out for him, as he looks to impress during his club debut.

“We have great expectations with Raymond. His defensive game is very strong and moves the puck well. I think the European game will suit him and I’m glad we have him here in Manchester.”
