Manchester Storm is delighted to announce the re-signing of North American defenceman C.J Garcia. 

A solid all-round campaign by Garcia underlined the heightened demand for his talents in previous seasons – which saw the Storm stave off competitors for his signature. Now with a strengthened affiliate and bond with both the franchise and the city of Manchester, both parties were eager to renew acquaintances. 

Garcia was one of only two Storm players to appear in all EIHL league games within the 2023-24 campaign, the other being Stephen Johnson. The 28-year-old made a considerable impact on and off the ice, with his personality and playing style earning the hearts of many a Storm faithful.

The returning defenceman commented: “I’m excited to be coming back to Manchester and I can’t wait to play in front of the Storm fans once again this August.”

Last season, the Storm’s terrific form redefined the Storm Shelter as a tough rink to
come to. An unsung hero in Garcia, played a crucial role in this, as
our formidable blue line earned the fourth-best defence in the league. What’s more,
across the regular season, last year’s Storm team proved to be an effective
shutdown unit, with the third-best penalty kill in the league and allowing the fourth
fewest goals against.
