Manchester Storm partners charity in Christmas appeal
Manchester Storm Ice Hockey Club are pleased to announce a collaboration with charity, Cash For Kids.
Held each year, the Mission Christmas appeal is a campaign run by Cash For Kids.
We are asking Storm fans and their families to donate gifts, if possible, suitable for children and young adults to be donated. Gifts need to be new and donated unwrapped.
Due to factors regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, Christmas will be tougher this year for many. You can help a family in need by making a donation.
There are various local drop off points around Greater Manchester, including: Mission HQ: Music Magpie, Galleon House, Newby Road Industrial estate, Newby Road, Hazel Grove, Stockport, Cheshire, SK7 5DA. Drop off sites are open between 10am and 4pm Monday-Friday. Gifts are to be donated before 18th December.
Alternatively, gifts can be dropped at any B&M, Bensons or Wickes store as they are our national partner for the appeal this year.
We are also looking for Manchester Storm fans to volunteer at Mission HQ. Volunteers are asked to help sort through the gifts and pack them, ready for distribution.
Volunteer dates are running through to Tuesday 22nd December. We have up to 20 spaces available per day and you can register to help as soon as TODAY!
Jessica Rigby, Hits Radio Cash For Kids Charity Manager said: “Last year, with the amazing support of local businesses, schools, clubs and individuals, we distributed over £1.6 million worth of gifts to 42,420 local underprivileged children. This year, despite the challenges and restrictions we face, we are back and determined to help as many children as we can once again!”
