Your Goodwin Group Manchester Storm overcame a three goal deficit to win 4-3 in overtime against Fife Flyers.

The first period belonged to the visitors, as they took a well deserved three goal lead after twenty minutes. The Flyers scorers were Gauthier, Livingstone and Tim Crowder, with all three tallies the resultant outcome of very good puck movement.

The middle stanza was a complete opposite to the first, as the hosts dominated both the possession and chances.

However, this pressure would eventually tell, as Aulin was able force a turnover deep in the attacking zone. This cross-ice pass was quickly converted by Frankie Melton at 32:22.

The Storm scored again just 18 seconds later when Fawcett out skated the Flyers defence making it 3-2 heading into the final period.

An early goal from Simmonds, on the powerplay, tied things up early to ensure it would be a cagey final period.

The ensuing overtime was closely fought with a number of good scoring chances coming and going for both sides. However, the hosts eventually prevailed through well taken penalty shots from Fawcett and Melton.
