Manchester Storm are delighted to welcome Ricards Birzinsh to the club
The Go Goodwins sponsored Manchester Storm, are delighted to welcome Ricards Birzinsh to the club.
Ricards, a native of Latvia, comes highly recommended to coach Omar Pacha, and he had the following to say about the new signing, “Ricards is a physical defensemen, something we feel we have lacked on the back-end so far this season. He battles hard for every puck, and plays with excellent intensity. All my reports on him have said he hits like a train too. The fans are going to love him.’
Ricards, a former East Coast Hockey League player, will be flying into the UK on Friday evening, and will join his new team mates in time for Saturdays “Pink The Rink” game against the Fife Flyers. Both Ricards home & away shirts are available for own-and-loan, and he’ll be donning the number 43.
With the acquisition of Ricards, the Manchester Storm have had to release Igor Bobcek from the squad. The players & management would like to thank Igor for all his hard work, and we wish him all the best in the future.
