Manchester Secure 4 Point Weekend in Playoff Push
It was a statement weekend for the Manchester Storm, securing back-to-back wins and taking all four points in dramatic fashion, further strengthening their playoff push.
FRIDAY: vs BELFAST GIANTS
The weekend began with a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Belfast Giants at the Storm Shelter. Goaltender David Tendeck was in inspired form, producing a 50-save masterclass to backstop the team to an important win. Cam Critchlow and Alexis D’Aoust were instrumental in the Storm’s offensive efforts, each registering three points to help propel the team past the 2023 playoff champions.
SATURDAY: vs GUILDFORD FLAMES
Saturday’s clash against the Guildford Flames was another test of resilience. Trailing 4-2 in the third period, the Storm dug deep to claw their way back. An equaliser from Loren Ulett in the final 5 minutes pushed the game into overtime. With neither side able to find the winner in sudden death, the contest was settled in a shootout, where Alexis D’Aoust stepped up once again to deliver the decisive strike and secure the full four-point weekend for Manchester.
