We have some injury updates ahead of the weekends action which begins at home against high flying Cardiff Devils which promises to be another adrenaline fueled ‘Saturday Night Hockey’ fixture!

Evan Weninger who sits third in the leagues ‘top goalies’ chart returns this Saturday following an injury suffered during the fixture against Nottingham Panthers on 22nd December.

Evan has been a standout performer this season and Head Coach Matt Ginn is happy to have in back in the rotation, he commented; “It’s great to have Wenny back between the pipes. He’s one of the top goalies in the league this season so we obviously missed him whilst he was hurt. Saying that, I thought Alex (Oldale) came in and played very well for us. He gave us a chance to win each game and that is all you can ask for. He definitely proved he belongs at this level and has a bright future ahead of him.”

Forward Samuel Tremblay remains on the sidelines this weekend after suffering an ‘upper body’ injury – more to follow.

Now for some very special news – you may have noticed defenceman Dallas Ehrhardt has been absent from the lineup occasionally over the last couple of weeks and we’re delighted to say Dallas and wife Erin have welcomed a new member of the Ehrhardt family into the world.

All at Manchester Storm wish Dallas, Erin and the latest member of the family all the best and we look forward to seeing new Dad, Dallas back in the lineup this weekend!

On a parting note, the club remain on the search for a replacement for forward Will Merchant who recently departed the organisation to return home to Idaho to play in front of family & friends for the remainder of the season.
