Whilst your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm have been busy on the ice in their fight for the Elite Leagues top spot, off the ice, their School & Group Visit programme has proven to be extremely popular, with over 8,000 students being seen since the start of October!

The visits, which mostly take place on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoon, see members of the Storm heading to schools and youth groups in the North West to talk about the following subjects:

• How to deal with bullying and how it’s not acceptable behavior.
• The importance of teamwork in sports and everyday life.
• What healthy eating is, and thanks to our sponsors Tescos, giving free fruit out.
• Where the players are from, and the importance of respecting other cultures.
• What Ice Hockey is and how you play the sport.

On top of this, the club are able to hold Ball Hockey sessions, further teaching students about teamwork and hockey, and can also attend to help present awards to students.

With the Club receiving more requests than ever for visits, including some coming from as far as Preston and even Anglesey, we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment! Visits are now being booked for February and March.
