BREAKING | Manchester Storm sign Jacob Lundell Noer ahead of upcoming Elite Series!
Manchester Storm are delighted to announce to signing of Jacob Lundell Noer from Storhamar in Norway for the Elite Series.
The classy forward reached out to Manchester to play in the Elite Series with the Norwegian league recently being cancelled.
The 23-year-old has been lighting up Norway’s top division for three consecutive years, with 39 goals and 23 assists in 63 appearances.
In 2017-18, after being named rookie of the year, Lundell Noer captained Norway’s u20’s in the World Junior Championship and produced 10 points (4G 6A) in only 5 matches, as they won the Division 1B title.
The following year, Lundell Noer would earn his full international stripes by icing for the national team on 9 occasions, in a line-up which included three former NHLers (Andreas Martinsen; Patrick Thoresen and Jonas Holøs.
Head Coach, Ryan Finnerty, had this to say about this to say about his latest coup:
“It is not everyday you get an opportunity to sign somebody like Jacob. Once he reached out to the club, we had a deal done within a matter of hours.
Jacob is one step away from skating in one of the best leagues in the world, so to have him donning the Storm jersey will be very special for the fans and I am absolutely sure they will enjoy watching what this guy can do.
He will bring speed, great hands and vision to our line-up. I know how eager he is for some big minutes and that’s exactly what we will be wanting from him”
