Manchester Storm Head Coach Ryan Finnerty insists there is no love lost between his team and Milton Keynes Lightning, ahead of their clash at Planet Ice Altrincham on Sunday, November 12, 5:30 pm face-off.

Lightning won 3-2 to claim the points for a second successive time when Storm made a trip down south on October 29.

Finnerty said: “MK’s a divisional team. A team that we felt stole a couple of points from over the last couple of times in Milton Keynes, so there is no love lost between the two teams.”

“We definitely to come in here and we want to play heavy. We want to play fast. We want to get on top”

The match against Milton Keynes will follow a visit to face Sheffield Steelers in the Challenge Cup on Saturday, which Storm must win in order to have a chance of progressing in the competition.

Sunday night’s match will also see the retirement the #15 jersey, worn by Manchester’s assistant coach, Mike Morin.

Finnerty offered his thoughts on the Storm legend: “Mike’s been a pretty dedicated soldier for this organization for a long time and I hope we get a good crowd in here, a big crowd to witness his shirt retirement and I hope that we equal that with our on-ice performance.”
