Manchester Storm and Milton Keynes Lighting Business Opportunity:

Planet Ice and Silver Blades would like to invite expressions of interest to operate the franchises for the Manchester Storm and Milton Keynes Lightning ice hockey teams.

This decision has been made to allow Silver Blades & Planet Ice brands to focus on their core business of operating ice rinks, more so considering the further impending expansion of the business portfolio with new facilities in Bristol and Leeds, as well as the new temporary ice rink in Slough.

Planet Ice and Silver Blades are fully committed to both Milton Keynes & Manchester Storm playing in the Elite Ice Hockey League in the 2017/18 season. The respective franchises can be made available with or without current capital assets.

Both franchises have shown exceptional growth in terms of fan bases and will no doubt be an attractive proposition for potential new owners.

Additionally, Silver Blades would like to invite expressions of interest from any party interested in running the senior ice hockey team at the new Silver Blades Leeds ice rink. It is anticipated that Silver Blades Leeds will be fully operational in late 2017 and that the franchise to operate the senior ice hockey team will be made available shortly thereafter.

To be eligible for consideration, interested parties will need to demonstrate that they have a sustainable business model to be considered, however support in developing the necessary business model can be provided if required. Any interested party will be subject to a rigorous due diligence process and will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Planet Ice and Silver Blades are fully committed to the long-term success of the Manchester Storm and Milton Keynes Lightning. We will continue to operate the Manchester Storm and Milton Keynes Lightning at a competitive level until new owners are in place to ensure the minimum disruption to the teams and the continued support of their loyal fans.
