The Elite League Department of Player Safety has banned Edinburgh Capitals Mike D’Orazio for one game for checking to the head.

The incident occurred during the game between Manchester Storm and the Capitals on Saturday night.

D’Orazio was given a 5+game penalty for checking to the head.  Following a DOPS review this has been upgraded to a match penalty for checking to the head.

This carries an automatic one game suspension, so D’Orazio will be unavailable for Wednesday night’s game against Dundee.
