PRE-SEASON TICKETS: The Go Goodwins Manchester Storm are gearing up for the 2016/17 Elite Ice Hockey League season with two home games against the Coventry Blaze on Wed 31st August and the Sheffield Steelers on Sat 3rd September. The Go Goodwins Manchester Storm are delighted to announce that Canadian forward Taylor Dickin will be joining the club for the 2016/17 season. The 6″2, 200lb centre played last season with the Edinburgh Capitals, where he amassed 45 points from 59 games played.

Coach Omar Pacha, was very happy to secure the services of the Manitoba native, “Taylor ticks a lot of boxes for us, he is big, puts up points, is very strong in the face off circle, and adds depth to our squad. Face offs were an area we struggled with a lot last season, so to secure some depth scoring along with a strong face off guy was really important for me. Taylor is determined to come into Manchester and have a really strong season, and is acutely aware with the expectations of the Storm franchise this upcoming season. He is going to fit right in.”

Storm GM, Neil Russell, also commented on the signing, “Taylor is someone that Pach liked a lot last season when we played against the Caps, he was always strong in the face off circle and put up consistent points throughout the campaign. We set very high standards here with the Storm, on and off the ice, and Taylor is someone who is a hard worker, so we believe this is going to be a really good fit for both parties”.

Russell went on to talk about the final pieces to the jigsaw in terms of recruitment, “Pach is closing in on the final few signatures right now, as i’ve said many times, we want to ensure we are bringing in not just good hockey players to this franchise, but also good people. As soon as we have those signatures, we’ll be sure and let you all know!!!”
