AIR THE BEAR FACTS
Air the Bear is also known as the Teddy Bear Toss. It all began in 1993 with WHL team, the Kamloops Blazers. The first Teddy Bear Toss launched on the 5th December 1993. It was organised by the Marketing Director, Don Larson and the first goal of the evening was scored by Brad Lukowich.
The world record is held by AHL team, The Hershey Bears. They beat their previous records with a total of 67,309 teddy bears and stuffed animals collected against Bridgeport Islanders.
