Manchester Storm are delighted to confirm the addition of former NHL draftee blueliner Noah Carroll, recently of the Savannah Ghost Pirates (ECHL).

A stellar major junior career with the Guelph Storm and Soo Greyhounds in the prestigious OHL saw Carroll share the ice with Rasmus Sandin, Tyler Bertuzzi, Jason Dickinson, and Morgan Frost, to name just a few current NHLers. In 256 OHL games, Carroll added 17 goals and 75 assists whilst being awarded the “A” in his final junior season (2017-18).

In order to further both his academics and hockey skills, Carroll joined the University of New Brunswick in 2018. The now familiar route from USports to the Elite League will be taken by another young Canadian defenceman in 2024-25.

In five years of USports hockey, Carroll won three USports Championships and one cup. This winning mentality saw ECHL outfit Savannah Ghost Pirates quickly acquire his signature upon the completion of his academic studies.

A brief but impressive 2022-23 season saw Carroll called up to AHL affiliates Henderson Silver Knights. In 2023-24, the defender signed a two-way contract with the Henderson Silver Knights but would spend the majority of his time in the ECHL. A consistent display by Carroll throughout the year saw him named to represent his franchise at the league’s All-Star game.

Head Coach, Mike Flanagan, commented on his latest recruit:
“Noah is a really well-sized defenceman who skates well and consistently makes those small plays that disrupt the opponents’ attacking attempts with a very active stick. He has great vision and possesses the ability to make accurate breakout passes, while also joining the rush when the opportunity presents itself.Noah has plenty of versatility to play up and down our roster, but we will be looking to use him in our Top 4 throughout the campaign. I see him becoming a very reliable option on our special teams’ units, in particular the PK. I know how excited he is to arrive in Manchester and meet all our great supporters.”
