Manchester Storm are delighted to announce the addition of forward Austin Farley, most recently of Nottingham Panthers. The American attended the prestigious Minnesota-Duluth hockey programme from 2012-2016.

During his time in the NCAA ranks, Farley went on to make 144 appearances amassing 106 points (46G 60A). Farley’s speed and solid two-way game caught the attention of several suitors in Sweden. In the 2016-17 season, the centre represented MODO Hockey and IF Björklöven.

The latter reupped with Farley for the 2017-18 campaign and their decision was vindicated when he returned 33 points, 15 goals and 18 assists, in just 43 Allsvenskan matches. This stellar season, in a typically low-scoring division, saw Farley signed to a two-year SHL deal with Luleå HF. The unexpected disruption of the pandemic sent Farley back to North America to join Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL) in early 2020. By 2021, Farley was back in European hockey when he elected to sign with HC Nove Zamky of Slovakia. This would be the centre’s home for the next two and a half years, during his tenure in Nove Zamky he tallied 69 points (27G 42A) in 84 appearances.

In November of 2023, Farley swapped Slovakia for the Elite League when he joined Nottingham Panthers for whom he has gone on to represent on eleven occasions. Farley will train with the club this week in preparation for a potential club debut this weekend. Head Coach, Matt Ginn, commented on the signing of Farley: “We’re excited to bring Austin Farley into our group. He has a proven track record of producing offensively at high levels. He is looking for a fresh start and an opportunity to play and we think it’ll be a great fit for both the team and for Austin.”
