IMPACT Gumshields becomes Official Partner of Manchester Storm
IMPACT Gumshields and Manchester Storm today announced that IMPACT has become the Official Gumshield Partner of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) team for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
In addition to supporting the senior team, who have already been scanned for their new Elite and Elite-X model gumshields, IMPACT will also exclusively supply our Academy teams, and provide special offers for supporters, including children participating in holiday camps.
Manchester Storm is committed to ensuring the safety of its players and harnessing the latest technologies to ensure they have the best possible protection. This partnership with IMPACT provides players with the only custom fit gumshields in the world made using a fully digital and 3D printing process, offering a perfect fit, and proven in independent testing to be more energy absorbent in collisions.
Defenceman Zach Sullivan commented: “The overall experience was very quick and really interesting watching the 3D scan in progress! The gumshield fits perfectly and unlike others, I can actually talk without my speech being impeded. It’s hands down the best gumshield I’ve ever had.”
Storm owner Ryan Finnerty confirmed: “This is an innovative partnership that we’re delighted to launch. The quality of IMPACT’s range is unrivalled, while their focus on ensuring both the gumshields and process are environmentally friendly is crucial for us, as an organisation committed to sustainability.”
Head Coach Matt Ginn added: “We are excited to enter into this relationship, ensuring that our players have gumshields that offer the best possible protection and are a perfect fit, contributing to both safety and optimising performance.”
James Murphy, founder and CEO of IMPACT commented: “Our aim has always been to develop a product that would be worn by the best players and teams in the world. We are dedicated to giving players the confidence to compete to their maximum potential knowing their gumshield will fully protect their teeth.”
Players in the Academy will have the opportunity to be scanned to get their gumshields as soon as possible, and IMPACT will also be visiting Planet Ice Altrincham for the home game against Fife Flyers on Saturday, 3rd February 2024.
Fans who would like to purchase a gumshield, either for ice hockey or to use for other club and school sports, can book a digital scan by clicking here to visit the dedicated Manchester Storm page.
