Manchester Storm are thrilled to announce the addition of American blueliner Tommy Parran, most recently of Iowa Heartlanders (ECHL). 

A product of his native university, Ohio State. Parran made 121 appearances in the NCAA before taking the well-established route into professional hockey. 

The defenceman would debut for Adirondack Thunder (ECHL) in 2019 and continue with the franchise until 2020. 

The Swedish franchise – Tyringe SoSS – immediately touted Parran to be their marquee signing and this sentiment would prove correct. The blueliner was awarded the captaincy and led the club in their promotion to Division 1 – with 41 points (16G 25A) in a total of 51 games.  

In 2022-23, Parran returned to North America to represent Toledo Walleye and Iowa Hearlanders in the ECHL. The defencemen played on 59 occasions across the two franchises and chipping in with 6 goals and 10 assists. 

Head Coach, Matt Ginn, had this to say about the addition of Parran: “I’m excited to add Tommy to our group. He’s a terrific skater and a good puck-moving defenceman, which will help us breaking pucks out and in our transition game. I expect Tommy to contribute on both sides of the puck. He’s a very smart player that uses his skating ability well to jump up in the rush.”
