STORM SECURE SERVICES OF NETMINDER BRODEUR!
Manchester Storm are excited to announce the addition of Jeremy Brodeur, most recently of South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL).
The son of legendary NHL netminder and Stanley Cup champion, Martin Brodeur, arrives in the UK with plenty of experience on his resume.
An impressive major junior career with Oshawa Generals saw the netminder make 124 appearances and maintain a solid stats sheet of 2.81 GAA and .909 SV%. During his tenure with the Generals, Brodeur would become an OHL and CHL Memorial Cup Champion.
The netminder’s first steps in professional hockey would be with Allen Americans (ECHL), in 2017. Between 2017-19, Brodeur would make 60 total ECHL appearances split between Allen Americans and Norfolk Admirals.
By 2019-20, Brodeur was the starting netminder of Peoria Rivermen (SPHL) and his impressive start drew admiration from the European leagues. A move to HK Budapest (Erste Liga), in late 2019, would give the goaltender his first experiences of Europe. Two months later, Brodeur would sign with Sheffield Steelers but fail to register an appearance with the pandemic curtailing the 2019-20 campaign.
Between 2020-22, the netminder has iced for Binghamton Devils and Providence Bruins (AHL); Maine Mariners and South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL), as well as Knoxville Ice Bears (SPHL). Mostly notably, his 37-game stint with Maine Mariners produced a steady 3.14 GAA and .907 SV%. At just 26, Brodeur will be looking to share the crease with Lavigne and Downie for the remainder of the 2022/23 Elite League season.
Welcome to Manchester, Jeremy!
