STORM CLAIM VICTORY OVER CLAN, SECURE FOUR POINT WEEKEND!
Storm hit Clan for six to complete four-point weekend Storm followed up a big Saturday away win in Kirkcaldy with a 6-3 home victory over Glasgow Clan to complete a first four-point weekend of the season.
It was another fast start at the Storm Shelter, with captain Cam Critchlow taking a feed from Jesper Öhrvall to beat Ty Taylor in the Clan goal after just 58 seconds. Jake Bricknell doubled the lead at 28:35, firing in from the right circle after being played in by Kevin Ekman-Larsson. A few minutes later Öhrvall advanced the lead to 3-0 with a rocket on the power play at 31:44. Nolan Laporte reduced the deficit at 35:45 to leave the score at 3-1 after two periods.
The three goal lead was restored at 45:38 with a converted penalty shot from Ryan Barrow, who had been hauled down on the breakaway. Clan reduced the deficit to just one late on with a second goal from Laporte and a slap shot from Gergely Toth, but the comeback was extinguished by Cole Carter who finished smartly at 57:15. Dallas Ehrhardt rounded off the scoring with a chip into the empty net at 58:15.
