Your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm rounded off another weekend with 4 points, after a 6-3 win at the Belfast Giants.

The first period saw Storm race into a 3-0 lead, with Luke Moffatt grabbing the opening goal with 4:40 gone in the period, before Scott Pitt doubled the lead 4 minuted later, thanks to a Matt Beca assist. 41 seconds later, Matt Stanisz launched a one timer from the blue line to give Storm their 3rd of the night.

The Giants were able to get one on the board with 2:04 gone in the 2nd period. 43 seconds later however, the Storm restored the 3 goal lead 43 seconds later, when Luke Moffatt grabbed his second of the night. However the Giants were able to put the lead to 1 within 45 seconds of each other, as David Rutherford grabbed grabbed two quick goals to put the pressure on the Storm. Ryan Trenz however was able to grab the Storm’s 5th of the night with 14:24 gone in the period.

The play followed end to end in the 3rd period, and despite numerous chances on the Storm’s net – Mike Clemente was able to deny the Giants at every chance! 11:59 gone in the 3rd, Storm scored their 6th and final goal of the night, when Luke Moffatt grabbed his third of the night to ensure Storm skated away with their 2nd point of the night, and 4th point of the weekend.
