Your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm came away from their game this evening, with a 3-0 shutout over the Guildford Flames!

A goalless 1st period, saw plenty of chances at either end for both sides, but Mike Clemente in the Storm net, and Chris Carrozzi in the Guildford Flames net, were able to keep both sides out of the back of the net.

12:14 into the 2nd period, Dallas Ehrhardt was able to finally break the deadlock with a lovely rebound effort whilst on the power play. Guildford continued to push hard for their first goal of the night, but Matt Beca grabbed the next goal, once again whilst Storm were on the powerplay, to put the home side 2-0 up over the Flames with 18:04 played in the 2nd.

Early in the 3rd, Ciaran Long grabbed a 3rd goal for the Storm with 3:38 gone in the period thanks to a Matt Beca assist. The play flowed end-to-end with Guildford still attacking Clemente in the Storm net, but the Storm’s starting netminder was able to keep to record a shutout on the night.
