Manchester Storm are excited to announce the return of British blueliner Zach Sullivan for his fourth full season in Manchester. 

Sullivan has played in the Elite League since 2014 and with 392 league appearances now under his belt, the stay-at-home defencemen looks set to have found himself a new home in Manchester. The British skater has represented the franchise on 146 occasions and is just 13 more appearances away from becoming the most-capped British player for the club. 

Injuries in the previous two campaigns have disturbed the flow of Sullivan’s play and the defender will be keen to contribute to the Storm over the entirety of the 2023/24 EIHL season. At 29, when the season starts, Sullivan and Manchester Storm will look to mutually benefit from the defencemen’s prime years ahead. 

Head Coach, Matt Ginn, had this to say about bringing back the experienced Brit: “Zach is a very steady defenceman that takes pride in the defensive side of the game. He is now a veteran in the league and he has shown that over the last few seasons with his play. Zach is a great teammate and he is well liked in the dressing room. He will play an important part on the penalty kill and in a shutdown role for us. I’m excited to bring Zach back for another season.”

Storm returnee Zach Sullivan commented: “I’m delighted to be back and be a part of the Manchester Storm for another season. Off the back of making playoffs last year, there seems to be a real excitement around the club for the upcoming season. I’m looking forward to getting back to the Storm Shelter and playing every week in front of the best fans in the league!”
