Weekend Preview – “To put out the Blaze”

This Saturday the 17th of October, your Go Goodwins sponsored Manchester Storm are hoping for history to repeat itself, as they welcome the Coventry Blaze once again to the Storm Shelter, before heading north on the Sunday to take on the Dundee Stars.

On Saturday we welcome back the Coventry Blaze to the Storm Shelter in Elite Ice Hockey League action. The Blaze, are currently at a loose end so far this season, having not performed half as well as most would have expected them have to. Last weekend the Blaze had a home & away series against the Belfast Giants. The Blaze won in an over-time shootout on the road, before loosing 8-10 at home the following night. The Storm will be looking to replicate the last same result as when the Blaze were last at the Shelter, when we won 4-1, and forget the last 2 games aways to the Edinburgh Capitals & Braehead Clan. Face-off is at 6:30pm, with doors open from 5:30pm, and there is also free ice skating (and free skate hire) for all fans with a valid match ticket until 10pm.

Sunday then sees the Storm heading to Scotland for the 3rd time in 7 days, as they take on the leagues most northernly based team: The Dundee Stars, with face-off at 6:30pm. If you’re not one of the lucky fans heading north to Dundee to cheer the Storm on in person, then fear not as StormLive will be covering the game on Twitter. Be sure to follow Storm Live (@Mcr_Storm_Live) on Twitter for live updates throughout the game. There is also a live stream thanks to DundeeStarsLive (http://www.dundeestarslive.uk) and it costs £8.00.

Tickets are still available for Saturdays match against the Coventry Blaze & you can get your tickets today from the BOX OFFICE on 08700-852-929, online via www.manchesterstorm.com, or on the door. Don’t forget, there is also free skating & skate hire until 10pm post match. Bring your friends, family & work colleagues along and introduce them to the fastest sport on the planet!!
