Weekend Preview – “The Devil’s in the detail”

This Saturday the 19th, your Go Goodwins sponsored Manchester Storm head down south, to take on the Nottingham Panthers, before returning to the Storm Shelter on Sunday the 20th to seek revenge against the Cardiff Devils for their opening day defeat. The Storm are also looking to forget last weekends 0 pointer and push onwards and upwards!

Saturday sees the Storm returning to the NIC for the first time in 13 years as the Storm take on Nottingham Panthers in Elite Ice Hockey League “Challenge Cup” action. The Panthers, will be looking to settle scores after their 5-4 Penalty Shot loss to the Storm, in their first game in 13 seasons. With Corey Neilson as head coach, the Panthers have bolstered their squad quite considerably and certainly have a player or two to watch out for. Face-off is at 7pm, and their are a few remaining spaces on the coach, to book please email storm@gogoodwins.co.uk.

Unfortunately, If you’re not one of the lucky fans heading down to Nottingham to cheer the Storm on in person, there is no live stream of the game. However, be sure to follow Storm Live (@Mcr_Storm_Live) for live updates through the game.

On Sunday we welcome Todd Kelman and his Cardiff Devils to the Storm Shelter. The Devils are currently in fine form this season, having lost only one of their 8 games this season & pre-season so far. The Storm however will be looking to get back to winning ways at the Shelter, and forget last weeks defeat to the Dundee Stars. Face-off is 5pm, with doors open from 4pm, and for the whole of September, Kids under 12 get in FREE with a paying adult!

Tickets are still available for Sundays match against the Cardiff Devils & you can get your tickets today from the BOX OFFICE on 08700-852-929, online via www.manchesterstorm.com, or on the door.
