Weekend Preview – “Lions Double Trouble”

This Saturday the 10th of October, your Go Goodwins sponsored Manchester Storm look to repeat their Elite Ice Hockey League home opener result, as they welcome the Edinburgh Capitals once again to the Storm Shelter, before heading north on the Sunday to once take on the Capitals at their home, the Murrayfield Ice Rink.

On Saturday we welcome back the Edinburgh Capitals to the Storm Shelter in Elite Ice Hockey League action. The Capitals, after a difficult opening to the season, are currently in fine form, having beaten the Braehead Clan 6-2 at home last weekend, before suffering a 4-0 defeat to the Cardiff Devils the following night. The Storm however will be looking to get back to winning ways at the Shelter, and forget last weekends narrow defeats to the Fife Flyers & Nottingham Panthers. Face-off is 6:30pm, with doors open from 5:30pm, and there is also free ice skating (and free skate hire) for all fans with a valid match ticket until 10pm.

Sunday then sees the Storm heading north to the Scottish capital as the Storm take on Edinburgh Capitals in the return fixture, with a face-off is at 5pm . If you’re not one of the lucky fans heading north to Edinburgh to cheer the Storm on in person, then fear not as StormLive will be covering the game on Twitter. Be sure to follow Storm Live (@Mcr_Storm_Live) on Twitter for live updates throughout the game. There is currently a 50/50 chance if there will be a live stream – as soon as we know more, we’ll put it on social media.

Tickets are still available for Saturdays match against the Edinburgh Capitals & you can get your tickets today from the BOX OFFICE on 08700-852-929, online via www.manchesterstorm.com, or on the door. Don’t forget, there is also free skating & skate hire until 10pm post match. Bring your friends, family & work colleagues along and introduce them to the fastest sport on the planet!!
