Your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm can confirm that forward Matt Bissonnette, has moved to the Belfast Giants following 49 games for Storm over 2 seasons.

Following the injury on Chris Auger 2 weeks ago, and the unexpected chance to sign Scott Pitt last week, leaving the team with 16 import, which at this present is currently a non-sustainable option for your table-topping Manchester Storm.

Storm’s Head Coach Ryan Finnerty, had the follwoing to say about Bissonnette’s depature:

“It’s never easy letting a player go and Matt is certainly no different. He’s been a constant professional and I’m happy he’s gone to a great organisation like Belfast, and we wish him the best of luck.

We had good news from our medical team about Auger’s injury and it looks like he could be back much sooner than originally expected. We will keep you updated on Chris’s progress.”

The 6’4” forward leaves the Storm with immediate effect, and will go straight into the lineup for the Giants this weekend, and everyone at the Manchester Storm would like to thank Matt for his service over the 16 months.
