After a weekend of away games in Scotland, the Manchester Storm are back on home ice this weekend. There are now only seven home games left of the regular EIHL season 2018/19. Let’s pack the Storm Shelter and support the team against visitors, the Guildford Flames!

MANCHESTER STORM V GUILDFORD FLAMES – SATURDAY 16TH FEBRUARY, 19:00 FACE-OFF, PLANET ICE ALTRINCHAM

The last time the two Patton Conference rivals faced each other was our televised game on FreeSports last month. After a close game, the Storm claimed two points on home ice, winning 3-2 – with goals from Byers, Braid and Long.

The Flames currently sit just four points ahead of the Storm in EIHL table. It’s bound to be an interesting, fast-paced game, as both teams fight for a playoff spot.

British defenceman, Sam Zajac is set to play in the line-up for the Storm this weekend after signing a two-way contract for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. The 29 year-old defenceman has had EIHL experience previously, icing for (then) Braehead Clan, and now ices for NIHL team, Whitley Warriors. So far this season, Zajac has totalled an impressive 36 points across 28 games.
