PREVIEW: Storm Host Teddy Bear Toss Tonight!

Tickets for this weekend’s games against Cardiff Devils AND Belfast Giants can be ordered online HERE, by calling the box office on 0161 926 8782, or in person at the box office. This weekend is your last chance to see Storm in action at home before Christmas, so don’t miss out!

On Tuesday 11th December, Storm visited Motorpoint Arena to face The Nottingham Panthers in the second leg of the Challenge Cup Quarter Finals. It was Storm who would win the game 4-2, with Mike Hammond getting four points with a hat-trick and assist. In a moment of déjà vu, it was top British points scorer in the EIHL, Ciaran Long who got the final goal of the evening.

After taking Panthers to overtime in thrilling EIHL game at home last Saturday with the final result 3-2,  the Storm are looking to continue their point streak at home. This weekend sees two home games, with challenges against last season’s league and playoff leaders, Cardiff Devils and current league leaders, Belfast Giants.

CARDIFF DEVILS – 15TH DECEMBER, 19:00 FACE-OFF, PLANET ICE ALTRINCHAM

The Cardiff Devils visit the Storm Shelter for the second time this season this Saturday. Last time the Devils visited, Storm narrowly missed out on the win, taking Devils to overtime and claiming one point at home – the final score 5-4.

The Devils currently sit in third place in the league with 36 points.

The best part about  tonight’s game is not only getting to watch some competitive hockey; but knowing that as a spectator you will be helping out a child in need as the club hosts its annual ‘Teddy Bear Toss.’ The bears will be delivered to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity by the players on Wednesday next week following the special event.
