Weekend Preview: Manchester Storm take on Helbronner Falken!

This weekend sees double header against visitors, DEL2 side, Heilbronner Falken

This weekend sees the Storm teaming up with Manchester Pride Charity for an extension on Pride weekend. The team will head onto the ice dressed in special Pride jerseys, which some of you will have seen on Wednesday night’s preseason game against EIHL side, Coventry Blaze. Hockey is for everyone, and the club would love if everyone wore pride colours and packed the Storm Shelter for this fantastic weekend!

Manchester Storm has a special weekend ticket available for anyone coming to both games. For just £20 per adult ticket, you will have access to both matches. Concession fees fall at £17.50 and children tickets are £10. 

Make sure you visit Manchester Storm Sports Store this weekend, where you can order jerseys, collect season tickets and see what else new we have to offer. The Storm Sports team have been very busy launching their new website and preparing new merch for everyone, so pop in before the games for all your Storm goodies.

The Storm

Storm forwards Jared Aulin,  Layne Ulmer and Tyson Fawcett will be making their debut this weekend. Also stepping in will be Liam Morris. 

The Visitors

Heilbronn Falken visit the Storm Shelter, with captain Derek Damon and Head Coach Alexander Mellitzer. Mellitzer has acquired a roster of five nationalities, including Czech, Swedish and Italian. The Falken finished in 8th place out of 14 teams last season, with 74 points. 

Alex Nikiforuk is a familiar name returning to the Storm Shelter this weekend, having iced for the Nottingham Panthers 2016/17 and Coventry Blaze just last season. Also returning to the Storm Shelter will be NHL draftee, Stefan Della Rovere, former Sheffield Steelers and Clan forward. 

Stand out players for this season’s Falkens are defenceman, Brock Maschmeyer and Derek Damon.
