Your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm suffered another setback in their push for the playoffs, as the visiting Dundee Stars skated away with a 6-3 win this evening in front of another bust SilverBlades Ice Rink Altrincham!

The first period couldn’t have started better for the home side, as their relentless attack on Fallon in the Stars net caused numerous issues for the visiting side. Despite this fantastic effort, the game remained goalless until 10 minutes had been played, when Cody Cartier grabbed his first of the evening, off a lovely Darian Dziurzynski assist, to send the ‘Storm Shelter’ to their feet! Cartier followed this impressive goal with a second, 2:37 later, this time off a Matt Bissonnette assist! The play continued to flow end to end, with the Stars finally getting plenty of time on the puck towards the end of the period, but the Storm killed it off with ease.

However, the 2nd period was a different story, with the Stars scoring after numerous penalties against the Storm. With 4:09 played in the period, Felix Antoine Poulin grabbed the visiting sides opening goal, assisted from former Storm player Vinny Scarsella. 5:50 later, the scores were tied 2 a piece, when Kevin Bruijsten grabbed his first of the night. Storm struggled greatly to get into the period, and saw every attack stopped by the defence of the Stars. Bruijsten was able to give the visitors the lead, with the Stars 3rd unanswered goal of the night, with 7:07 to go in the period.

The third saw the Storm come out flying, and despite a couple of half-chances from the Stars, the play was dominated by the Storm. With 2:53 played in the period, hats were thrown on the ice, as Cody Cartier was able to grab the Storms, and his, 3rd goal of the night, once again assisted by Dziurzynski! The play continued to flow end to end, and Storm had the majority of the puck. However, it was the Stars who scored next, retaking the lead thanks to Antoine Poulin grabbing his 2nd of the night with 6:59 left to play. Storm continued to battle hard, with shot after shot hitting the padding of Fallon, but with 57s left in the game, and with an empty Storm net, Justin Faryna slotted home to give the Stars a 2 goal lead. This was followed up with 9 seconds to go with a second empty net goal, a hat trick goal, by Bruijsten.
