Your Go Goodwin Manchester Storm tested the Dundee Stars to the limit but ultimately came away with a 3-2 loss in the Dundee Ice arena this evening.

The game started with end to end play and both teams tested out the opposition goalies on a regular basis. The Storm were first to concede with a goal from Lidhammar at 12:26 which gave the Stars good momentum in the game, but the Storm responded with end to end play & it was Captain Trevor Johnson that scored an excellent power play goal from the blue line to equalise with 3:38 left to go on the clock in the first period.

The second period went less well for the Manchester Storm as we conceded two further goals, Lidhammar getting his second of the evening early on in the period and pesky player, Traversa, putting the Dundee Stars further ahead. It was a period though of missed opportunities from the Storm, with Mark Heatley with the most notable opportunity being denied by the impressive Fallon in goal for the Stars.

Period three saw both net minders Clemente and Fallon making some great saves throughout. Tempers at times looked like they could spill over as the Stars tried to keep their lead and Storm tried to take back some of the momentum in the game. Eventually and with only 3 seconds left on the clock Storm grabbed another goal back making the  final score 3-2. Paul Phillips claimed the goal and Johnson got his second point of the evening with the assist.

Storm Man of the Match went to the ever hard working and impressive, Connor Varley, who had yet another solid performance throughout the evening. The Dundee Stars kindly organised it for two young Storm fans, Izzy Middleton & Harry Barlow, who made the long trip up to Scotland, to present the MOM Award & Coach Pacha ensured the whole team got in on the photo!
