The first period saw end to end hockey from both teams, as both the Storm and Stars looked to get on the board nice and early in the period. The Storm were the first to score when Matt Sisca slotted home from a fantastic pass by Paul Phillips to send the Storm Shelter to their feet nice and early in the 1st. The Stars continued to push hard for their opening goal in the remainder of the period, but the Storm played a fantastic defensive game that limited the chances for the Stars.

The second started with the same speed and intensity, with end to end hockey, before Matt Sisca bagged his second of the night, this time after a sublime pass from Luke “Speedy” Salazar!  The goal, while on the power play, put the Storm 2-0 up, but the Stars were continuing to try all they could for their first of the night. The Stars finally broke their duck when Justin Faryna bagged his 23rd goal of the season to cut the Storms lead down by half. Both teams went end to end after that, looking to get the next goal… and Davy Phillips of the Storm did just that, as he blasted one top shelf, to restore the 2 goal lead for the Storm.

The third period saw Matt Sisca bag his 3rd goal of the night when Davy Phillips set him up just after the first minute of play. Dundee were able to pull one back against the run of play, when Brett Switzer scored for the Stars. Just minutes later, Devin Didiomete bagged his 2nd of the season for the Storm, and restored the 3 goal lead to send the Storm Shelter wild.
