CARDIFF DEVILS – October 6th, 19:00PM, Ice Arena Wales.

The Storm take a road trip over to South Wales today to face back to back Elite league champions, Cardiff Devils, for the first time this season. With previous games last season resulting in three Storm wins and one overtime loss across four games, it’s expected to be a highly competitive game.

Having won the league and playoff title last season, head coach, Andrew Lord has done well this Summer, with most of last season’s players returning for the 2018/19 season.  New players to the roster include, dual national forward, Charles Linglet, who has AHL and KHL experience, Canadian forward Stephen Dixon, and American defenceman, Ben Blood.

The Devils are expected to have a busy season, having also made the CHL.

GLASGOW CLAN – October 7th, 17:30, Planet Ice Altrincham.

Glasgow Clan were last at the shelter on the 16th of September, for Storm’s second home game of the 2018/19 season.

Despite the final score of the last game resulting a 4-2 loss after pulling Ginn in the final minute of play, it was a close matchup. The second period kicked off just three seconds in, when Clan’s Gratton, labelled as “one of the league’s toughest guys,” dropped gloves with Springer, giving spectators one of the best fights of the season so far.

One to Watch: Scott Tanski
