The Go Goodwins Manchester Storm take the long coach journey to Dundee this Sunday for a 6:30 pm faceoff against the Stars, with 2 vital Gardiner conference points up for grabs.

The Storm are coming off the back of another Gardiner conference game after defeating the Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday night at the Storm Shelter. The game ended 4-2 to the Storm with goals coming from Trabucco x2, Prince and Cartier.

In contrast, Dundee had a day off yesterday and come into the game after taking on 2 tough Erhardt conference teams last weekend. Dundee went toe-to-toe against the Nottingham Panthers last Saturday, eventually going down 2-1 in Nottingham. Justin Faryna, who put up 64 points in 59 games last season, scoring the solitary Dundee goal. Faryna has had an impressive start to the season and is already on 9 points from 11 games this season. On Sunday, Dundee played the Cardiff Devils at home, goals from 18 year-old Ben Edmonds and former Storm favourite Vinny Scarsella were not enough to defeat the Devils though, so Marc Lefebve’s side will be eager to claim the two league points up for grabs!

This game is the first meeting between the two sides this season, and is also the first of Dundee’s Gardiner conference games of the campaign.

One to watch: Vinny Scarsella is a name that will be familiar to Storm fans. The popular Storm forward from last season has started this new campaign well with his new club and is currently the top points scorer on the Stars’ roster with 14 points from 11 games.
