Your Go Goodwins Manchester Storm take the long journey up Edinburgh this Sunday, as we take on the Capitals at the Murrayfield Ice Rink at 6 pm.

Both teams were in action yesterday, the Storm losing for the first time at home this season to the Braehead Clan, and Edinburgh taking victory on the road in Fife.

Edinburgh come into this game high in confidence after an excellent start to the season! Coach Michal Dobron has put together a team with a mix of Europeans and North Americans, and range of experience levels. Russians forwards Fyodorov and Vorobyev both come in with KHL experience, whilst players such as MacDougall and D’Orazio have been picked up straight from college. The Caps as they’ve already shown this season to date will be a tough team to beat, so the Storm will need to be ready to fight hard for the 2 points.

The Manchester Storm go into the game without influential forward, Matt Bissonnette, who picked up an upper body injury on Saturday evening vs the Clan.

Last season, the Storm had the advantage over the Capitals and the teams even broke an Elite League record in a game towards the end of the season, where the scoreline ended up 13-9 in favour of your Storm.

One to watch: Forward Pavel Vorobyev has spent time in the NHL and KHL and has already looked dangerous this season. His expansive style of play is well suited to the large Murrayfield ice sheet.
