Your Go Goodwins, Manchester Storm are thrilled to welcome Logan MacMillan to the club for the upcoming 2018/19 season!

The dual national, 29 year- old joins the Storm roster, completing the forward line-up this season. MacMillan spent last season in the Erste Liga and Romania league playing for ASC Corona Brasov, where in 43 games, he totalled 37 points.

The all-rounder is no stranger to the EIHL, having iced for Nottingham Panthers for two seasons 2015-17. During that time, Macmillan helped achieve 1st place in both the Challenge Cup and Continental Cup, whilst totalling 33 points overall, across the regular seasons.

Team history for the 6’1”, 176 lbs forward includes AHL team, Abbotsford Heat, ECHL teams Utah Grizzlies and Bakersfield Condors plus well-known QMJHL team, Halifax Mooseheads. As it stands, MacMillan has also made playoffs 11 times during his career, racking up 29 goals!

Hailing from a family with plenty of NHL history, MacMillan was also drafted in round 1 of the 2007 NHL draft, being picked at #19 overall, by Anaheim Ducks.

MacMillan will also be attending the University of Salford studying for his MBA, whilst playing for Storm, hoping for double success.

Head Coach, Ryan Finnerty is delighted to have secured Macmillan for the upcoming season, commenting;

“Signing a player like Logan was key for us. We feel our top nine can compete with any team in the league, but depth is where we fall behind.”

“Having a guy who can play forward and defence positions, gives us that flexibility to cover any holes in our line-up. Logan is a power forward, who makes great decisions. In defence, he’s very steady and makes good judgements as to where to play the puck.”

“We are lucky to get a player of this experience and I am confident he will fit in well with the club. He also has the opportunity to further his education with the University of Salford.”

MacMillan will be wearing the #17 jersey this season and his jerseys will be available to own and loan soon. You can get notifications straight to your phone from the Official Supporters Club’s Twitter here, so stay alert across the club’s social media to avoid disappointment.
