With Former NHL forward Patrick Bordeleau making his debut for the Devils, it was the Storm who got on the score sheet first with #26 Dziurzynski making the early impact with a short handed goal early in the first period.

Joey Haddad pulled the Devils level midway through the second period, but it wasn’t to last, as Matt Bissonnette restored the Storms lead moments before the end of the second to send the Shelter wild.

Once again Cardiff were able to find an equaliser, with Gleason Fournier firing home just under eight minutes in to the 3rd and final period, but Dziurzynski came to the fore once again, scoring what proved to be the game winner at 56:12.

New signing, Mario Trabucco, added an empty net goal with 5 seconds remaining in the game to wrap up a very impressive home win from the Storm, much to the delight of the Storm Shelter crowd!

The Storm now have until next Saturday to rest up, before they hit the road to the Braehead Clan, before welcoming the Coventry Blaze to the Shelter on Sunday the 18th of September at 5:30pm.
