Your Go Goodwin Coaches sponsored Manchester Storm went down 5-2 at the Storm Shelter against the Braehead Clan, in a thrilling Elite League game!

The first period saw the Storm go behind early on to the travelling Scotsmen, as Chris Bruton opened the scoring for the Clan just before the 10 minute mark with a lovely defection past Zane Kalemba in the Storm’s net. Despite this hiccup, the period belonged to the Storm, who pilled shot after shot on the in form Fullerton in the Braehead net.

The second period saw the Storm finally rewarded for their patience with Patrik Valcak netting his 12th of the season to send the Storm Shelter to its feet! Storm continued to mount the pressure on the Braehead goalie, but try as they might – they just couldn’t find a way past the Canadian!

The third period couldn’t have been better for the visitors, as the Clan were able to score 2 goals to put them up 3-1 over the Storm, before Matt Sisca bagged the Storm’s 2nd of the evening with a tip in front of goal from a shot, that once again sent the Storm Shelter to its feet. However, a minute later, the Clan were able to restore their 2 goal lead over the Storm, before killing the game off with 3 seconds to go in the game, with an empty net goal to register a 5-2 away win over your Manchester Storm.

Next up, the Storm take to the road once again for the Scotland Doubleheader, where the club are expecting 150+ fans to make the trip to support their club. The games begin with a return fixture to the Braehead Clan on Friday night, before heading to the Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday! The Storm then return to Altrincham and welcome the Fife Flyers to the Storm Shelter on Sunday. (5pm Face Off)
